New

  • You can now edit a dish you added, and removing something asks you to confirm first. v0.2.21
  • Hosts can add their own categories, rename any category, and set how many dishes they want in each. v0.2.22
  • Dishes the host is bringing now show a Host badge. v0.2.22
  • Choose how Potluck looks from your profile: Classic or the playful Picnic Pop. Your choice follows you across devices when you're signed in. v0.2.23
  • The home page has new illustrated artwork. v0.2.23
  • Empty categories show new paper-cut style pictures that match your chosen look. v0.2.24

Improved

  • Potluck works better on phones: bigger buttons, no zoom-jump when typing on iPhone, and a potluck you've opened before still loads when your connection drops. v0.2.20
  • If you tap to bring something before joining, Potluck finishes what you started once you've joined instead of making you tap again. v0.2.20
  • Potluck starts in English or French based on your browser, and remembers your language across devices when you're signed in. v0.2.21
  • French text uses proper plurals, and dates read in a friendlier format in both languages. v0.2.21
  • On phones, the dish categories now come first on a potluck page. v0.2.21
  • A broken potluck link or unknown page now explains what happened and offers a button back home. v0.2.21
  • The offer to sign in with Google now appears a moment after you add your first dish instead of interrupting you. v0.2.21
  • Pages load faster. v0.2.21
  • Shared links show a proper Potluck preview in chat apps. v0.2.21
  • Easier to use with a keyboard or screen reader: better contrast and dialogs that keep focus and close with Escape. v0.2.21
  • Dietary tips now point to the single biggest gap, and the page suggests filling an empty category even before anyone has said they're coming. v0.2.22
  • When the host is coordinating drinks, the drinks section shows how many have been brought. v0.2.22
  • Setting up a potluck takes fewer taps: guest count and host details open ready to type, and the preview icons are bigger. v0.2.27
  • New potlucks no longer ask guests for supplies unless the host turns that on. v0.2.27

Fixed

  • Signing in works even when your browser blocks popups. v0.2.20
  • If a dish, comment, allergy, or join fails to save, you now see a message, keep what you typed, and can try again. v0.2.21
  • Tapping a save button twice no longer adds the same thing twice. v0.2.21
  • Dishes and comments you added as a guest are kept when you sign in with a Google account you already used. v0.2.21
  • Turning off a category moves its dishes to Supplies instead of hiding them, and Supplies can no longer be turned off. v0.2.21
  • The edit and remove buttons on a dish no longer catch each other's taps. v0.2.22
  • Clicking the Potluck name at the top takes you home. v0.2.28
